Goodbye 2019, Hello 2020
Now we say goodbye to 2019 and bring in 2020. 2020 kind of has a ring to it, and it's nice to say too. 'Twenty twenty'.
When one year closes and another one opens, it gives you a chance to look over the past year and all of its memories. I thoroughly enjoyed my 2019, it bought me a lot of hope and a big leap in finding myself. I finally saw Ibiza and loved every minute of it! The bright blue sea and the crisp beige sands are a repeated calming thought in my mind. It also allowed me to continue my love of the ocean and surfing which makes me so happy and fulfilled.
I also got to travel back to my hometown in Cologne, Germany and explore it with my partner. Being there really felt like home, especially at Christmas when I got to experience a German Christmas market for the first time. This was one of my favourite moments of 2019.
2019 also made me realise how lucky I am to have certain people in my life and how my life would be completely different if they weren't around.
2019 also helped me continue my journey of self discovery. I continued to work towards improving my life, and daring to try new things. For example, I finally bought that skateboard I'd be wanting for years, and finally started to write down my thoughts on paper to look rationally at what I am thinking.
There were ups and downs in 2019, like most of you will experience. But with the new year comes a new start. Make sure you start the new year right with people that you love and with people that love you. Don't be afraid of leaving people behind who do not have your best intentions at heart. The new year gives us a chance to refresh our lives and start with new hope. Make sure you start the new year right with people that you love and love you, also with ambitions you want to achieve. If there is something in your life that you aren't happy with, now is a great time to begin changing it.
It is important to go into the new year hopeful and grateful.
I hope 2020 is your best year yet with lots of joy, health and success. Make the most of this year, the world is out there waiting for you.
