How to Lose Weight The Correct Way

Eat a fulfilling breakfast


Now, I know what you’re thinking, you’re giving me evils through the screen thinking, why is she telling me to eat when I’m trying to lose weight? I know what you’re thinking, but there is good reason for this. Eating a fulfilling, healthy breakfast gives you the energy you need for the day, and satisfies your hunger. A big mistake people make when they are trying to lose weight, is depriving them selves of food, for example skipping breakfast. But this is one of the worst things you can do as this will make you more inclined to eat the wrong type of food and potentially overeat. You need to eat a good breakfast to give you energy and give you that satisfied feeling. This also helps with your metabolism as eating regularly keeps your metabolism working quickly. When you skip breakfast, and you eventually eat, your body will hold on to the food more as your body goes into starvation mode.




Cut calories


You should eat a good, healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is vital for your metabolism, health and energy levels. But you do need to watch how much you are in taking. You need to eat less calories than you burn. So for example, you can have a good breakfast in the morning, maybe a smoothie or healthy sandwich at lunch, and then chicken with broccoli in the evening. As long as your calorie intake is lower than what you are burning, you will lose weight overtime.





Exercise


In order to burn more calories and overall more fat, you need to exercise. You can do this by signing up to a gym, playing your favourite sport or even simply walking. As long as you are moving, it doesn’t matter what you do. The more you move, the more calories you burn.





Snack and hydrate


To curb any hunger between meals, it’s OK to snack to keep you going. As long as you snack on the right foods, you will be fine. A great snacking food would be grapes or nuts for example. Both very healthy, and both filling. The more hungry you are, the more likely you are to snack on the wrong foods, so curb that hunger with the right food.

Drinking water is also important as it helps keep your body healthy and satisfied. Next time you are feeling hungry, try reaching for a glass of water instead, it may just be thirst.




Patience


Losing weight is a long term process. Like a lot of things in life, it takes time to get where you want to go. The mistake people make is trying to lose too much too soon, resulting in disappointment. It also causes your body to hold onto foods you eat more as you are depriving yourself. Set realistic goals and targets and you will lose weight in no time.








Motivation


A good way to motivate yourself to stay healthy is to get a couple of photos of people with the body goals you want and stick them on your fridge, or keep them on your phone. Once you get into a healthy routine, it becomes easier to maintain it. But to get yourself into that routine, it’s good to have some motivating tools around you to keep you going. A few quotes and inspiring bodies can work wonders to stop you from over eating.
