How To Start The Day Right
To start the day right, it's good to have a morning routine to set you up with the foundation to have a great day! This can be from how you think to what you eat. Here are some tips to help you start the day right.
Get 8 hours of sleep every night
This isn’t something you can do in the morning, but to give yourself the energy and fuel you need for the following day, you will need to make sure you have had enough sleep. This builds a great foundation to start your morning routine the right way. The way you feel when you are awake can depend on how much sleep you have had. Your body is replenishing itself during sleep, working to support healthy brain function and good physical health.
The first thing you should do when you wake up is drink water. Your body has been asleep for the past 8 hours and you will wake up a little dehydrated which can make you feel sluggish. Drinking water first thing will help your body replenish and re hydrate, making you feel alive. Another good thing to drink first thing in the morning is fruit juice. Fruit juice has vitamin C and Vitamin D in it too which helps fight fatigue.
Sometimes, you can wake up in the morning with a lot of things running through your mind, for example, important tasks that need to be done that day, meetings you need to attend and errands you need to run. Therefore, meditation is a great way to start the day as it automatically gives you a peaceful mind set for the day ahead. You could chose to follow an online mediation from YouTube, download a meditation app, or even breathe slowly and deeply for a few minutes as your own meditation.
Eat a healthy breakfast
To smash the day, you need the energy to do so. Eating a healthy, balanced breakfast will provide you with the right vitamins and nutrients to give you that kick you need for the day ahead. Eating a healthy breakfast will also help you to focus and concentrate more.
Plan out your day
Make a list on what you would like to achieve today. Starting with the most important tasks first so they are out of the way. Make a list from high priority at the top to lowest priority at the bottom. Writing this list will help you see your goals on paper and make you feel good when you have achieved them. It will also help you be more productive as it reminds you of the tasks you need to do. When you don’t plan the day, it can sometimes result in you doing nothing at all.
