Happy bank holidays guys! I hope you have had a great weekend! Here are some photos from my weekend.
I had an amazing weekend, on Saturday I chilled out in the garden attempting to get a tan, ordered a Chinese takeaway and watched Little Britain (Series 1 of course).
Sunday, I went to Ironbridge, which is a pretty little town in Shropshire, also known as the Birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. There was a World War 2 festival there where they enacted what it would have been like in the war. They had campsites and people dressed in their army gear. A great experience and very eye opening to think it actually happened. Everything was very green. You could talk to some of the actors too, and I found out that when the war was on, the army people had to have operations without anesthetic (the thought of that makes me cringe). It was 20 degrees as well which topped the day off, perfect ice cream weather! I was wearing the outfit as pictured below with tights as there was a slight breeze in the air and I can get chilly quite quickly. (I don't know about you but I can't function when I'm cold).
Monday was another great day, however the weather wasn’t as good. I took my 7 month old Labrador Rosie to Cannock Chase, which is a huge park/forest full of lakes, animals and beautiful countryside. I used an extending lead so she had more freedom, that also took away the pulling she tends to do when on the short one. Maybe the extra freedom is just what she needed to walk sensibly. I thought I could do with the walk, and Rosie would love it too. She jumped in the lakes and got extremely muddy. Unfortunately, it rained a few times whilst I was there, and walking around in soggy clothing isn’t the nicest thing in the world, but after a while, you stop caring and think well I’m muddy now anyway. Rosie loves water and when she jumped in the lake, she soaked me. Rosie then met my partner's dog which is a Staffordshire Bull Terrior, unfortunataly he wasn't happy with Rosie being in his house so he kept trying to pin her down, but my strong girl wasn't fazed by it (luckily). Rosie slept for the whole day when we got back.
