Manchester

Hey guys!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I had a little trip to Manchester this weekend to see my favourite trance DJ Craig Connelly. The trance rave was from 11 until 4 in the morning so I booked a hotel and stayed overnight. I somehow managed to last until 4 in the morning but unfortunately spent my whole weekend recovering from a small hangover (my own fault). I'm not one for drinking loads but I was really enjoying myself (maybe a little bit too much). I didn't even know trance raves existed until recently, but it was a great experience. I'm even considering planing my own trance night.

Before we got to Manchester, I went to Manchester airport as they have a lovely viewing spot by the runway where you can watch the planes go by. I love the sound of an aircraft taking off, it makes me think of travelling and holidays. I also saw the beautiful Concorde in one of the hangars.

Before the trance rave, I had a little look around Manchester at some of the sights. I am a football fan (go Arsenal!) so I had a look at the Manchester United, and Manchester City grounds. I have to say, that the Etihad Stadium (Manchester City ground) was one of the most stunning buildings I have ever seen! It had a beautiful curvature about it. I wanted to grab a photo by the ground but unfortunately the Spice Girls were playing there at the time so it was crowded and you couldn't get into any car parks without a ticket.

I also visited the Imperial War museum, which was very touching at times, as they had a lot of war memorial items there which takes you back to that time, and makes you think how things used to be.

There's so much to do in Manchester, it's definitely worth a visit. I'm a bit countryside girl, but I love a good day out in a city every now and then.

What's your favourite city to visit? Let me know in the comments.
